I believe professional cameras are good for pros and amateur cameras are good for amateurs - there is no shame not catering for the pro market and it certainly does not mean it is an inferior camera - and as we all know the Pentax does find its way into some pro's camera bags.
I want Pentax to stay just where it is - as an amateur camera because I can trust it will meet my needs.

Not sure thats entirely true Keith.
I know many "Pro" shooters using istD's and K10D's, including myself(i make money from my cameras). Just because they target the amateur does not mean the features are not there. Other than the fact my Nikons "Look" like pro cameras, they are in essence doing the same thing. Maybe my D2H focuses faster than my K10d, but its close enough to get the job done.
I don't care if Pentax goes like Nikon and produces a Pro and amateur body. I have enough of both.
