Congratulations. I look forward to seeing your posts about the new K-30 and the 18-135 combo. Remember, putting it under running water is not what WR is for
Thanks guys.
Yeah, I have no intention to put it under running water, but I will be happy to know I won't have to stop shooting once it starts raining.

Congratulations on the K-30 and 18-135 WR. Doing it right the first time will save you money in the long run, it seems like a lot of people who buy a Pentax with 18-55 (including me) wishes that they would've opted for the 18-135 version just because it's sharper and has a more usable focal length. The extra money for this lens is worth it in the long-run. You will surely enjoy the 18-135, beautiful and is absolutely perfect. Also I found out that the K-30 has faster write-speeds to the memory cards over the K-5, which is really good. I could possibly see a firmware in the future that would expand the amount of files both JPEG and RAW to go into the memory card without having a too long of a file buffer rate. https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-k-30/191382-okay-so-i-purchased-5.html#post2014228

Yeah, it has been one hard decision to make between the K-5 and the K-30.
I have picked the K-30 knowing not because it is better than the K-5. They each have something I want.
It's just that this K-30 deal is really hard to let it slip away. I am sure if they offer the K-5 with the same lens (even costing $300 more), I will still be in my headache mode indecisive between the two.

Oh, has anyone mentioned the $20 2-year Extended warranty from Pentax? I believe that the K-5 warranty card is also being used for the K-30 from what I saw at Amazon. It's the best deal Pentax has ever offered, period.

If the camera works for your needs, your not soooooo crazy. After a holiday where I often grabbed my wife's K100D instead of the K5, simply because it had the longer lens on, I've decided to wake up my K10D more often.

There is something about the images of this 'old' stuff.

Thanks for the vote. I took a look at the focus peaking videos online. Hmmm.... now the wife is going to want to play with that one. At this time, she isn't too fond of my MF lenses.

Yep! Still use my k10d once in a while too. It gives the pictures a different feeling.
