Another thread speculated the first Pentax FF would be a K-01 style cam.

If so, would you gobble one up or wait for the Pentax FF DSLR?

I would wait and see what the FF DSLR was like and how it was priced. My personal opinion is that the first Pentax FF won't be a K-01 style camera. It just seems to me like Pentax isn't treating their mirrorless cameras as seriously as they are their DSLRs...and FF is a serious step. You can just look at the styling of the K-01 and the "toy" lenses for the Q and see that Pentax views these cameras as being fun.

I swear if a they release a mirrorless full frame before the DSLR that I was promised 10 years ago, I'll jump ship right then and there. One can only take so many slaps in the face. I want a professional photographer's tool, not some gimmick.

In my opinion, the K-01 is a test product to determine the viability of mirrorless K-mount. I don't mean "mirrorless" in the sense of "here's a mirrorless camera like µ4/3 or NEX", but rather "this camera doesn't have a mirror, it doesn't have a prism, it doesn't have a metering sensor, it doesn't have a phase detection unit, and all of the parts we've removed save a ton of calibration and manufacturing costs". If you add all of the supporting equipment to a DSLR, the minimum camera price is about $400 (for pentamirror, 9 AF points, entry-level stuff). Historically, DSLRs have not dipped below this price point. Because you can't make all these moving parts and precision parts and calibrate them for less than about $400. In contrast, the cheapest µ4/3 or NEX generally run about $200. Because you can put a sensor and a shutter in a box, skip calibration, and ship it out the door for $200.

Said another way, the K-01 is made to cost less.

I think the Pentax FF will not be designed to save costs. Sure, costs will be kept reasonable. But they'll make a DSLR and price it accordingly.

If the FF DSLR takes off then we might see a mirrorless K-mount. But I doubt it will be the introductory FF K-mount digital.

I wish there was a choice that said, I don't really care about all of this, but there isn't. I also don't mean to be critical of this discussion either. Heck I chose to read this. Anywho, I'll vote on the choices provided but until I have enough free cash to really care about this, what ever comes down the pipe from Pentax will be out of my reach for the near future and by the time that I do, I won't have to speculate on what they will or wont do.

I'd only buy a Pentax FF if the AF is up to par with Canikon

Seriously, I'm waiting for a FF from Pentax that has everything my K-5 offers me except for three differences:

1. FF sensor
2. AF that really rocks boat
3. Big (and I mean BIG) OVF

So yeah, I'm waiting for the FF DSLR...

I would never buy a K-01 anything. I do not like the design on that camera, period. If I was going to go FF, and I'm not planning on it really, definitely a FF DSLR would be preferred. The K-01 can die a quiet death in so far as I am concerned. Sorry, but that's how I feel about that camera. I don't particularly want to see another one of any kind made unless they radically redesign it and FF would not change that.

I voted neither but might be concpvinced to change to a K-01 format FF for travel with udpsing my K and M42 lenses

Sport, wedding, street and nature photographers would likely not be interested in a FF mirrorless without a pro-level EVF, but landscape and product shooters could adapt just fine to using liveview. I would.

I used my K-01 a few times now for some studio catalogue (for a jeans webshop) shooting. That works very nicely with my FA31mm and DA*55mm and you really don't need any more advanced camera then what the K-01 delivers.
