K20D AF adjustment ?

Hi all

I notice from reading the specifications of the new K20D that there is function described as 'AF adjustment', so what is this meant to do that the K10D doesn't ??

Best regards
Richard

You can adjust the AF on individual lenses (up to 20 different lenses) and store the information in camera. On the K10D, it's hidden in the firmware and not available to the user.

You need this in case your camera thinks it's in focus, but it's actually focusing slightly in front ("front focus") or slightly behind ("back focus") your target.

It was "available to the user" in earlier firmware versions (pre-1.3, I think). This is something that seriously needs to be brought back to the K10D. Pisses me off they removed it (for no good reason).

Why I'll keep my K10D? because I never get rid of anything.

By the end of film, I had a KX, Ricoh XR2s and PZ-1. (shot a roll of film with the PZ1 for something to do a month ago)

Still have my *istD as well, and it works just fine for me at 3200 ISO, and has TTL flash so I can do flash photography with my K mount lenses.

K10D, while except for the 14 MP over 10 MP, which would only allow tighter crops, (assuming the lenses can do it) and the 6400 ISO, which may or may not be worth it, it is just not different enough. I would rather see my very short wish list fixed on the K10D

I thought it was never supposed to be available to the public. Only firmware 1.1 had it. I thought it was some guy playing with his camera and ran into the debug menu. So the newer firmware came out and removed the feature, or they changed the key combination to get into that special menu.
