My experience with the Pentax k-30 @ B&H (BIG PICTURES)

My K-30's jpg burst is much longer than that video, I get about 38 before it slows, 8 in RAW. Sandisk 16Gb Extreme 45Mb/s card used.

wow this camera has fantastic ISO ability!

Heres a test shot i took in low light (no flash). Pretty sweet!

Lens: Pentax M 28mm F2.8
Camera: Pentax K30 (set to auto ISO)
ISO3200
F2.8
1/30th second
Focus Peaking Used
Unedited, straight from camera

I should post the shutter noise from a Spotmatic. It scared small children and large animals. Reminds me of a car wreck.

I think i was using the same card at the time. Maybe there was some JPEG processing setting that I didn't remember to turn off.

The K-30's low light ability is just incredible, at least compared to the K-x I was used to.

I tend to take a lot of night shots, and I was able to use lenses that were a no-go with the K-x as I can up the ISO more. I also suspect that the shake reduction has been improved, because I found myself hand-bracketing images to use for HDR later on. I wouldn't even have considered that with the K-x.
