According to Panasonic, K-5 AF is better than...D7000 and 7D

Not sure if this has been posted before...

Photorumors published a link to a Russian site leaking the specs of some upcoming Panasonic camera:
Full details on the upcoming Panasonic announcement | Photo Rumors

One of the slide photographed by the Russian source is an auto-focus comparison...and the K-5 scores better than the Canon 7D, the Nikon D7000 and the Sony A55!

Panasonic is just using a study that has been posted here on the forums before. It studied AF accuracy only.

Looks like they are comparing CDAF accuracy, since they are including cameras (Nikon V1, SOny NEX-7) that don't do PDAF.

But it generally confirms the AF results from that German magazine posted here a long time ago. If the basis of the test is AF accuracy in OK lighting using AFS, K-5 always seems to do well.

It's very interesting but it should be noted that AF speed or accuracy is also very dependent on the lens used. Otherwise it's nice to see the K-5 performing well and better than its direct competitors (7D, D7000).
