It's very reassuring that the camera can suffer this kind of punishment without any ill-effect. However, there is no way in the world I'd ever do this to mine. I'll be one of the many, who just sit on the sidelines and look on with a smug look at all the non-Pentax owners

I did that this past saturday shooting at the Edmonton indy. There was a mediumish rainfall...nothing major, not like we have been having all summer (4-6 inches of rain in 90 minutes has been common lately) but a good amount. Kept clickin with my K5 and DA 16-50 while I see all the pro Canon/Nikon guys covering up. Made me chuckle inside.
