That's an interesting one. After the release of the OM-D, people were declaring that the end of the optical DSLR was in sight, because of the EVF. I managed to get my hands on one recently and, while I was delighted by the size and style of it, the EVF was as big a turn-off for me as the bulkiness of the D800 sitting next to it in the shop. Frankly, if this is meant to be the future of DSLRs, then my K-5 will have to see service for some time to come. The lag on panning was more than a little noticeable, and there was an odd strobing effect on contrasty subjects in the artificially-lit shop. I remember looking at a friend's Panasonic GH-1, and thinking much the same thing a couple of years ago, so the progress being made in this area is not great, at least with regard to those aspects. This is not to say that EVFs don't have their plusses, but for me, the minuses are enough to put me off right now.
