K2000 Battery Life

3 years back I have purchased K2000 Dslr from BH.In the camera manual battery life showed as 1500 snaps. Although I am using Ni-Mh 2700 or 2900 cells ,I am getting only 100or 150 snaps only per fully charged cells. What is the remedy?

Use Sanyo XX instead.

Recommend Sanyo Eneloops. Give these a try before you condemn the camera.

That is about what I got with the initial lithium discard batteries. Then I did not so well with nmh or rechargeable nmh. Then following advice from here I bout some Eneloops and get 7-800 per charge.
