Prototype Camera leak ahead of Photokina!

Well, here it is. Official specs are sketchy, but this radically "retro" shape is believed to have such features as: a shutter, an aperture, a lens, and if you look closely, FILM!
Note the clever use of basic printer-paper-white, offset by a splash of "orange juice bottle red and blue".
Further details will be released next weekend.

OK, it's my 9 year old son's school project that I found myself roped into making. Must admit, I got a bit carried away, and even included a real aperture mechanism and lens elements from an old Sigma lens. Clever kid, that.

I must say that I like this camera.

It brings 'user programmability' to a new high. If there is something you don't like or want to add or move just get out the tools and you can change it.

Seriously, a great project and thanks for sharing.

Those buttons look highly precarious.

Must be tougher than a magnesium body...and it takes a variety of legacy lenses. Very Pentax!
