It depends on whether they have the parts in stock (yes, I realize how stupid that sounds, they are a repair facility and should have all parts in stock, but such is not the case). I kept tabs when people were returning their K-5's for sensor issues and the turn around time ran around 3 to 6 weeks. But in all fairness, they were hammered pretty hard with K-5 returns during that time, so maybe 3 weeks?

2 months for my K-5, they finally replaced the camera after the parts still did not make the every 2 week delivery yet again. In my case that issue and sensor replacement were in order.

5 weeks for first go-around, little faster for the second trip for "rework".

Might be slow but with Pentax I can do pixel-mapping at my leisure. I could be wrong (would not be the first time) but my understanding is that with the 7k you need to send it in to have that done by a repair center.

I contacted Pentax USA tech in February and they told me it would take at least 4 weeks to fix my K-x, which had an already known problem (aperture control circuitry).

in 2009, 12 calendar days from pentax canada, spanning 2 weekends and a mid week national holiday.

For my K30, it took about a month including mailing time both ways.

On-board flash went dead on my K-5, sent it to CRIS for warranty repair. They received it on 9/17 and I just checked today and they shipped it back on 10/2 -- I'm supposed to get it Friday. So about 3 weeks including shipping time -- not bad. Just depends on the parts situation, but hopefully Ricoh is working on the repair situation as well. If they expect to sell lots more cameras, they are going to need more repair capacity. CRIS has been the exclusive repair shop in the US for a few years now. Previously they had a few different contractors handling it -- my K10D had a repair that was probably the last out the door at the old shop near here in Westminster, CO...
