will a pentax-m lens meter/manual focus on a pentax dslr?

i ask this in utter ignorance of such things, and here is why: i have fallen in love with the pentax-m 50/1.4. i have two of 'em on film cameras: bessa r2m (modified/adapted/rangefinder coupled) and ME super.
i would like to use the lens on a digital cam, focusing manually. i would like for it to retain its auto-stopdown while metering/exposing. is this possible on any of pentax's dslrs?
thanks for your patience and expertise.

Just to clarify adams answer. The lens will auto stop down BUT metering is manual. It would be done pressing a button to set exposure, and would not change if you point the camera at a different subject.

That feature was lost on lenses without the A position, due to the removal of the aperture ring coupling from the camera
