Hey Bob, we need one of these.. (moire explained)

For those who don't know, perhaps the most productive people on the site are in post your photos. The guys I like shoot a huge number of landscape shots, and we sit around drink coffee and tell each other how good we are (whether we are or not, no sour pusses allowed over there.)

SO for everyone there, the new K IIs was put out specificly for us. The article linked to below explains why. It uses a Nikon D800 and D800e to do the "splaining" but hey, it it helps me decide which K-5 II (the K-5 IIs) to get next, so be it. I always knew the Nikon camera company was good for something, I just couldn't figure out what, now I see it.) Of course we'll still need the old K5 for shooting family pics and stuff, but what's another K-5 in the camera bag?

Click here for the inside scoop.

I would LOVE the k-5IIs. There isn't a Pentax product that's more up my street at the scale I operate. Imagine this with sensel scale resolution instead of the AA filter 4 microlens cluster... I've already got a 500 lpm JML 21mm lens on its way and boy would this complement it... yummy

It appears that there is a pretty huge difference in sharpness between the two (judging by the sample shot comparisons)...

Very cool shot, now that I understand what it is, I'm a little disappointed, we've shot over 20,000 landscapes the last few years and every one of them would have been improved by using a camera with no low pass filter. As soon as the K-5 IIs is released the K20D and K-x are goners.

This will make every lens in my bag sharper, without going FF.
