Oct. 15th is creeping up on us. Anyone else Impatiently waiting for the K-5 IIs ?

Well. I already have my K-5 sold, and now I'm just playing the waiting game. I literally daydream about how sharp the 2-S is going to be with my 50-135. I will probably have to wear Thick leather gloves when using it, so I don't chop a finger off. It's probably going to cut a hole in the bottom of my camera bag. Ok, I'm slightly exaggerating, but C'MON... How can you not be excited about this camera ? I feel like a kid waiting on Christmas. Anybody else getting antsy ?

I'm playing it cool, waiting for early adopters to convince me that I have to get one (it shouldn't take too long given my history ;~)

Well, my experience is that we always have to wait just some days extra, so I'm tipping on november. But no stress on my site, I will get one this year and sell one of my K-5's.

You mean they may not ship till November ? I surely hope not. Not only for my lack of patience , but I have a very important event scheduled on the 27th that I am shooting. I guess if worse came to worst, I'll have to rent a K-5. Because I will be without a body from 10/12 till whenever my K-5 2-S comes in the mail.

Well the K-7 was 6 weeks delayed, I remember because I already sold my K20D, and K-5 was delayed overhere for two weeks and I only got one from the second shipment waiting another week. So for the K-5 II I don't expected any line waiting, so the first shipment is fro grabs allready.

This time I can't sell any camera early. I want to replace my black k-5, since it is the regular one. My K-5 Silver is over 100k images, so I'm not going to depend on that camera for some weeks, when the K-5 II is delayed and the shutter would break I would be out of a camera for some time and I don't want that to happen.

Crap... I need to call B & H I guess when it gets closer. I was planning on putting my pre order in on the 5th. I'm out if town till the 4th and can't meet the guy to sell my K-5 till then. If they're going to be back ordered, I better hang onto my k5 until after the 27th :-/

Well, I am very curious to see some sample images. Especially identical shots with the II and the IIs side by side.

I am very 'Eh' about this camera. I can sell my K-5 for $650 which means I have to come up with another $650. No thanks. If I was upgrading from an older model, it would be a no brainer.

Yeah, that was my thoughts originally. But my wife is supportive of my photography hobby, and the expendable income is there, so I said to heck with it, I'm just gonna buy it.

I'm waiting for reviewers and early adopters to test for problems before I order.

For those planning to preorder from B&H, I think they are closed for 2 weeks starting Sept 30. Adorama might be closed too. You better place your preorders quickly.

I'll be interested in the test reviews for AF and to see how well the 2s performs without AA filter. I don't think I will be buying one however. My K-5 still serves it purpose and I'm more interested in the K-3.

The new 24MP sensor in the D3200 is not the same as the 24MP sensor that is in the NEX-7. I think Pentax can take the 24MP sensor and exceed the K-5's IQ even at high ISO. A 24MP sensor without an AA filter is what I am looking for.
