I Have the Silver K-5 and wrote a detailed review on amazon with a large section devoted to the benefits of having a DSLR other than black. How did the DSLR market come to having everything in black anyway? in the olden days they were all silver. I completely agree with the person who made this thread. color is better and black is boring, but not just for style they have practical use as well. I used to have a Nikon D5000 and a red Pentax K-r and would go out shooting flowers. I live in Phoenix so it's extremely hot here. while switching back and forth between the 2 cameras I noticed the D5000 would always be burning hot due to it being black while the K-r was warm but no where near the Nikon. I'm sure this helps out all the internals as well.
