Trap in focus works best for me by holding the shutter release all the way down. Moving the camera, or waiting for the subject, with the center focus point directed at what you want in focus will trip the shutter at the exact point of focus. I use this method constantly with my M 100/4 macro when I am using it hand held.
I first tested this when I got my SF-1 by setting it up at a hummingbird feeder. It took three in focus shots of the local fast movers while I ate supper, using a locked down release cord.
