hello everyone.
i have a pentax k-x. is there any reasons to change my camera to a k-7? i read at snapsort that the image quality is better with the k-x.
i use my camera to indoor shots,and i am interested in image quality, good/fast focus.... with the k-7 can i see in the viewfinder where is the focus point?
should i go for that change or keep my k-x (and later go for a 5d)))) ).

i am 99% sure you can see the AF point and manually select it with the K7

Since you're into indoor photography, it's worth mentioning the low light performance at high ISOs is reportedly MUCH better with the K-x. Personally, the only camera I'd bother upgrading from the K-x to is the K-5.

To get around the whole issue of no viewfinder AF point indicator, I just set the focus point to center & focus at the center, recompose if necessary & shoot. That would be my preferred method even if I had the viewfinder AF indicators, though.

The K7 is better built - weathersealed, lots of external controls (on the body, instead of having to dig thru menus), better viewfinder, nicer handling. But by most accounts, the K-x is much better in low-light situations. I'm not sure how they compare under normal lighting (outdoors).

You don't have much choice if you shoot indoors without a flash. I made this choice when the K-x came out and I could buy either one new. I briefly considered the K-7, but it was obvious the K-x would give what I was looking for - better overall IQ, and for less money to boot!
