stabilzation on the full frame cameras

i was just thinking why i bought a k-5 in the first place, and it was partly because of the good reviews it got in 2010, but also because of the stabilized body, ( also a 'relatively' large viewfinder ) and the smaller-sized lenses ( as well as legacy lenses ) that allowed me to use, i'm just wondering if going to another brand for the fact of full frame ( in my case for the larger viewfinder actually ) that i would miss the body stabilization ; this still is one thing that the pentax cameras have going for them, no ?

Well, you probably would, considering that a lot of lenses simply don't exist with stabilization for Canon and Nikon, such as 50mm or 85mm portrait lens.

On the flip side, most would argue that you wouldn't benefit much from the stabilization in most shooting scenarios with such lenses...

It a tough call, but in-body stabilization sure is cost-effective, there's no doubt about that!

the trouble with pentax ff sr is that the body would be bigger than normal because of the huge and heavy sensor plate but im sure that the engineers are working on this

I'm fairly certain Sony has stabilization in their full frame bodies.
