Thanks alot.

The rubber piece is a critical part for WR body, and NOT widely available.

What is the point of Pentax to marketing their dslr bodies as WR?
If this part is missing or defected, then you have to buy a new dslr?
I am not so happy with Pentax in this case.

Anyway, I got mine.

Yeah-it's a bit ridiculous. I lost my flash cable cover on my k20 and k7. A $9.00 (NINE DOLLARS!) cap goes missing and all of the sudden your WR body isn't WR anymore.....

Pentax Canada is sending me one free of charge when they return my DA 40mm (I dropped it, hard).

They're also sending me the plastic terminal cap for the K20D grip, but I had to pay $5.00 for that part.

At least the pieces are available.
I guess if the bottom rubber costs 30 usd, we all have to buy it too

What do you expect when you're missing a component that covers electrical contacts. It doesn't really require much explanation that any exposure to water will be a bad idea.

I'm not sure what you mean. I'm paying $0, so it can't be worth much.

I didn't actually lose the rubber cover for the bottom of the camera. I told them pretty clearly that I was missing the plastic cap for the grip, but they mixed them up. So now I'm supposed to be getting both.
