K-5 s

Hi,
I was wondering if I could save some $$$ and buy a K-5 classic and make it a K-5s?

Any shop to do it?

Consequences?

thanks

Doubt it would be worth the hassle, good luck finding someone to work on it in the first place. If it was one of the C or N brands then maybe.

There are outfits that modify DSLR to shoot IR photography by replacing the AA filter with a specific wavelength sensitivity IR filters. They also advertise replacing the AA filter with a clear protective filter for astrophotography. I believe the article I've read involving a Nikon DSLR (can't remember where I saw the link) that compared the images taken with and without AA filter was just a such modification. The modification costs about $200.00 and up - you can calculate your savings.
