Pentax e-books

I have recently upgraded from a K-r, (my first DSLR) to a K5.I started by reading the manual to get an idea of what was where, let’s face it,that is all the manual does! From there I have been out and about takingpictures and trying the TAv, that was not an option before.
I love this cameraIt will be a long time before I need to upgrade the body. Pentax can sleep wellknowing I am looking for lenses instead!

So here I am looking for Black Friday Deals and I come acrossa link for Pentax e-books for the K-30 and K-5 $9.89 for this weekend.

Well I clicked the link and bought the ebook thinking at this price it’s not much of a gamble, and other forum members feel it’s a good guide.

I cannot tell you how happy I am. Not only does this guide give you another view of what this camera is capable of but you get it from a perspective of experience and a history of film use. There are so many examples of WHY Pentax did what they did by including a feature and how it relates directly to creativity and making it easier than it was with film.

All of the features are explained not just how to get to them in the menu but why they are there. Not to mention the many shortcuts that can be found to limit the menu diving. You can always try the free pages before you purchase!

Fantastic. A huge thanks to Yvon Bourque.

My pictures are still bad, but at least I know it’s not the K5, just my own lack of skill and creativity

Yvon does an excellent job with his books. There is always something interesting in them.

I have the K-7 version of his Ebook. Unllike the Pentax manual, it is readable and useful.

I read the K-x manual cover to cover and would go hands-on with the camera as I went though it to confirm what the manual was doing and I didn't have any problem understanding the manual. True it takes a little longer this way, but you're reading/doing the whole time. I looked at getting the K-x book from the same author above, but wasn't sure what more info I would get for the money.

I agree, his K-5 manual is so much more helpful than the manual. You got a terrific deal on it too

Kindle users, beware!

Well, the K5-demo crashed my Kindle Keyboard Wi-Fi/3G (latest firmware 3.4: 1725970040). Had to hard-reboot and remove the file via USB. The PDF is not corrupt (I can open it nicely on my notebook).

The eBook works on my PC and Kindle touch. But I only tried the demo on the PC. Sorry to hear you're having an issue.
