Which camera for Infrared: K-x or k7?

Which camera for Infrared: K-x or k7? And why? I'm leaning toward the k7 b/c of same batteries as the k5, WR, and AF dots in the viewfinder, but the low ISO of the kx seems potentially helpful. It just occured to me though, if it's low light, there's not a lot of infrared to catch...

Anyways, what do you all think?

Thanks in advance!

Definitely K7 if you still use a K5. You can share batteries, and you can do AF adjustment on K7 for different lenses, which is pretty important for IR converted cameras. As to high ISO performance (for low light photography), you won't use much of this for IR photos. The best looking IR photos are taken under bright sun light, from my own experiences.

I have just had my K20 converted (and kept my K10 as back up to K5) as it was apparent that the sensor is very sensitive to IR. Since the K7 shares the same basic sensor, I would go with that one.

The company who converts it should reposition the sensor so the Auto focus will still work ACS in UK have done this on two cmaeras for me now. The other being an istD

Blue skies with white cloud look fantastic in IRB&W

Enjoy.

Thanks much for your insights Frank and Bill. I will go with the k7 then for my conversion. Have a great day!
