k100d backfocus help

i picked up a k100d and have been really happy with it so far.

i also bought an FA35 and a DA21. but when i started testing it out, i noticed that there were some backfocusing problems when i used the FA35. so I went into the hacked menu and changed the autofocus setting to +60, which has improved things a lot. however with the DA21, at the autofocus setting from 0 to +60, i don't seem to notice a difference in which "regions" are sharp

is there a way to tell if the issue is with the camera or the lens .. and what can i do about this?
