If it's a choice between body or lens, keep the better glass. It'll last you forever. If the K30, I think the blue looks pretty cool.

Ah you know I guess LeDave is right, I won't miss the top LCD or grip.

So anybody want to recommend a color? Black or white?

Personally, I went with white. I like the stormtrooper look

I just got a K7 (from a K-x), as much as I love the body I think its showing its age. I took it out on new years and the iso performance was pretty bad to say the least (some of the images were still good even at 3200). As well as the DR which is behind even Canons. I mean sensor wise, my K-x was better, but I love everything else of the K7.

Anyone here gone from K7 to K30? How long do you guys think the K7 will last me before it needs to be upgraded?

I could possibly get a used K5 but I may have to sell one of my lenses to do that so I'd be going back to the kit lens.. In any case I think a K7 with a good lens would be better than a K5 with the kit ?

Or should I just stick with my K7
GO for the K30, better sensor and faster AF

K30 all the way for me! The K7 did me well but the combination of sub optimal high iso and shutter blur between 1/40 and 1/200 makes it a pain to use sometimes!

If I were you, I'd wait a little longer and upgrade to a K-5. Nothing wrong with the K-30, but you may eventually want a grip and may come to like the top LCD. Just my 2c after owning the K-7 for a couple of years. Both are excellent cameras.

If you are considering new K30, I would say you should aim for K-5. These days K-5 (original) has pretty much the same price tag as that of K-30. Only thing you could miss in K-5 compared to K30 is the new focus-peaking feature. K-5 has much quieter shutter, and that was the main reason for me to go for K5.

someone is an important focus of accurate and secure - the K30 is better than K5 how to remain silent and thus of K7, the rest is on the K5
