Seems like I'm reviving this thread. I"ve never had a WR lens, but I want one [or several actually, in an ideal world where I'm rich].
I'd like to be able to shoot in the rain [heavy if needed] and in the beach. Now, the beach.. I'm not looking to dive into the sea of course, but there's the sea breeze and the moisture and salty winds, plus, you know, sand.

Would a K-5 IIs or K-50 plus either the 18-55mm WR or 16-50mm be safe to shoot with?

Pentax K-5 and the DA 18-55 WR are a great combination. I also have the 16-50 and is just great wr lens.

WHAT SORCERY IS THAT?! Rain, I get it.. but man, a full dip in the pool?! And sand while auto-focusing?? Ok, I am so definitely, definitely getting a WR lens and body. In that order, I think, in hopes that by the time I have saved enough for the body, the K-3 is announced =P
