AA Eneloop Batteries

I was in Circuit City today and found they have a package of 8 AA Eneloop batteries for $12.99 US. By far the cheapest price that I have seen on these batteries.

How many shots do you guys get out of these, or other rechargable batteries? Right now I am using energizer lithiums and never have to worry about batteries going dead in the middle of shooting (I change them before every big event, but do carry spares just in case). $10.00 per 4 pack adds up if there is a better way.

Thanks Frogger, I might give them a try. I really like the life I get from the Lithiums, but am always open to something better (or in this case cheaper).

Lost!

I use the MAHA MH - C204W charger with all my "rechargables". This charger works fine the the "low discharge" AA batteries such as the Eneloops. I learned the hard way, do not trust the little chargers that come pre-pachaged with rechargable batteries. Here is a link to Thomas Distrubuting Company's web site. Thomas Distributing

I'd say ditch the Lithiums and get some Eneloops! Mine go for about 600 shots most days (temperature dependent). Get 2 sets (or 1 set of 8) and a fast charger. They may not last as long as the Lithiums but 1. its a once off payment, atleast for a year or so 2. you're not killing off the enviroment!! 3. Think what you could buy with all the money saved from batteries...?
And keep say one set of lithiums as a 3rd back up and for when your shooting in cold conditions (sub 0degrees).

Thanks
