I see a LOT of comments about early models being of poor quality or performance. WHile I can't comment about the K20D, because I have decided for the moment to pass on it, what I can say is that I have no issue WHAT SO EVER with early version cameras.

My PZ-1 was only available for a week or so when I got it. My *istD was bought within 1 month of availability and my K10D was bought within 1 month of release when they were coming out of the factory to the stores in ones and twos.

I have NEVER had any issue with the quality or performance of any of these cameras from a mechanical point of view. (software, however is a different issue)
