I was just going to post the same thing, I found that notice in my inbox tonight.

I'm still waiting on Beach Camera... hopefully any day now! I'm skipping BH because I'd have to pay tax and shipping. I believe that Beach is not far from NYC (but in NJ) so hopefully their shipment arrives around the same time!

OMG -- now you've done it. Mine's coming tomorrow, too. Don't know whether to kiss or kick you!

Yes, maybe I'll buy a k20d, there are a lot of things to like about it. But I'll not buy it any time soon, probably not even this year. I need a price drop of at least $400.00 before I'd consider it.

I need to hear what everyone thinks of it to see if it's worth the upgrade. So far, from what I've seen, I may wait until the next generation. So you folks that bought it, give us some reviews.

Why don't you all, those who like and want to buy K20D buy it now and enjoy the camera rather than wait for the price to come down? That way you are giving some money to pentax too.

i am expecting a significant improvement of the K20D's iso 1600/3200 vs my K100D, if its sub-par or barely noticable, i will wait till the price comes down, since none of the other features interest me all that much. (plus, id have to buy a new katz eye too)

i have no HSM lenses
i have no current need for weather sealing
i do not currently print posters
i can make due with a penta-mirror for now...

everything else is cake, so i'm waiting for some of our own forum guys to do some rigorous tests, i want to see if the new sensor is as good as i'm hoping that it will be.

I'm not quite to the point of thinking of Pentax company as a charity case!

I don't think they will drop the price by $400.00, I know the price on the K10D dropped a lot but I don't see the K20D as a sub $1000.00 camera. I guess it depends on what the competition does but I would be shocked to see this below $1000.00 at least for the next year.
