Wow, that Carl Jr. logo is biting sharp. As for the in-camera JPEG, that's not a bad one at all. Personally, I always wait for the dust to settle to get the new camera.

Sorry Gang

Here are some of the range of ISO samples

All were shoot on a tripod - no shake reduction – with built in flash
Lens is a Tamron SP AF Aspherical XR DI (IF) 28 – 75mm Macro
Camera Mode = SV W/B = automatic Meter Mode= Multi segment
Noise reduction =Highest
ALL Focal Length = 33mm

These are straight out of the camera no post process. The EXIF data should still be there
Feel free to play with them in Photoshop.

I just picked up my K20 at the local shop. With all the talk of how good the high ISO was I have been worried about low ISO performance, so that was the first thing I did. I'll post something later, when I have something better than a shot of my son's backyard play toys. For now I just wanted to say that this is a fantastic tool! The flexibility of the controls is even better than the K10. Jpegs right out of the camera are very sharp and colorful. ISO 100 is beautiful with good detail in shadows. I can't wait to get a model in front of it.
As far as I can see from those K20D beta or production samples (and the K200D as well), Pentax seems to have already resolved the infamous "soft jpeg" or "soft edge jpeg" problem (whatever one would call it) which can be found in the K10D (not the K100D, though).

As for the low ISO noise, PopPhoto found that it is very slightly higher than the competition. But I bet anyway we won't notice its existence.
