Posted on the Pentax Forums..."Pentax to have surprise release of FF SLR, March 12". Another Internet rumor is born.

Beyond that, if something that miraculous and unexpected were to occur, you bet I would consider buying one. I have been waiting for something like that for a few years now.

not only would I be thinking about it, i would have my preorder monies in as quickly as it shows up in my local shopkeeps computers. Then a Nikon D600 kit (minus flash, love that SB700) would be up for sale on Kijiji faster than you could read this post.

If its sensor performed on par with the D800 I would immediately start selling my APS-C gear.

I'm planning to buy a full frame camera in the next year or two. If Pentax comes up with something good, yes I will buy. If not, will probably go for a Canon.

Doesn't matter what the price may be - the answer is "no". Many skills to work on and many more urgent uses for photo capital.

If delivered to the market, though, I hope it's an overwhelming financial success in its own right. Might give Pentax the cash flow to invest in new glass, AF designs and motors, lighting gear, etc. Now those would get my photo capital.

I have been ready for a FF announcement for a couple of years. I was prepared to purchase FF Pentax if they made the announcement at photokina, since it didn't happen then, I am ready now. I am preparing myself for the idea that it won't be released until 2014.

No. Too much money involved even if the camera can allow you to walk on water and see around corners (as some seem to believe of FF).

Would I buy a full-frame Pentax camera on Tuesday? Certainly not.

The answer is sort of here :
https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-dslr-discussion/217262-what-cameras-do-you-own.html

Pentax is in a way a victim of its own target market. (those who want value for money; those on a budget; those who know too well that a camera is only as good as the one that wields it)
