I have the K100D. The only remorse I have is that every once in a while, I regret not getting the K10D. Then, I look at some of my pics and think...."Look dummy, you're having trouble with the one you have.

I think Kim spelled it out just right. If the camera fulfills your needs then its the perfect camera. Whether it be 100,10d,20d, no matter, its what meets your requirements that matters.
So saying, this is better than that etc etc, is not applicable to me so long as I am satisfied and get the results I am looking for.
The photograph, in a large sense, is down to the person behind the camera, and not the camera itself.

I managed to pick up a K10D for £450 a month or so ago. It is utterly superb both in technical prowess and handling, which is sheer delight. I can't see how the added extras of the K20D are going to make much difference except in terms of pixelage. Maybe a few years time and further advances might tempt me, but I suspect I will grow to love my K10D as much as my old MX, which I have had for decades.

i have a K100D Super myself - its my first SLR.
The ONLY remorse I have is that it doesn't have higher megapixels. And that's only for the reason of wanting to have bigger prints than about 8x10.

I paid £600/$1200 in Jan 2007 for my K10D body so it doesn't make any economic sense personally for me to think about changing it any time soon. I'm very happy with its performance. I can see that the better IQ at higher ISO would be an attraction with the K20D, but for the moment (and I'm talking years) I'll be content with what I've got. As others have said lenses are an equally important part of the equation in the quest for IQ and some additional ones are my next priority.

Two brand new K10D bodies at $484 each ($609 - $100 rebate - $25 shop.com coupon) is one of the best deals I have ever come across in my life - period. I have absolutely no regrets since I did not plan to purchase the K20D anyway.

That's an incredible deal. K10D for the price of a 3 year old Canon XT. K10D is in a different league than the XT...

Still... I'm going to skip the k20d and go for 1 or 2 generations after it. K10D does absolutely everything I need.

I think it would be silly to have remorse over buying a K10 over a K20. I have both and while the 20 is better at a few things, at the end of the day they both do the same thing. At ISOs from 100 to 400 you would be hard pressed to see the difference in an 8x10 print. FPS is the same, AF is close and controls are the same. Having both I will still be using my K10 plenty. Heck, I still look at 8x10 prints made from my *istD with total amazement. Even 11x14 prints from that first generation 6 MP camera were excellent. Love your K10 or K100, they are still great cameras.

If I had any remorse it might be because I bought my K100 and didn't wait until the K10 dropped to what I paid for the K100. But any kind of home tech is like that, isn't it? Had I waited, I wouldn't have had the use of the camera. I think I'm in the market for a used K10 now, not sure, but I'm tossing the idea around.

Well, I don't know about you other K10D owners who purchased your cameras during the hype of the forthcoming K20D, but now that it's here and seeing the first images as proof is in the pudding so to speak, are you feeling buyers remorse? (snip)

Buyers remorse? None whatsoever. My only mild issue at this point is the absence of any feature enhancements through firmwire updates over the last several months. Since users have certainly offered enough suggestions, surely Pentax can find one or two things to tweak on the K10D through such an update. Instead, it's more like Pentax has simply chosen to ignore this camera, leaving one to wonder how far that might ultimately go. But, since feature updates are more of a pleasant courtesy than a mandate, I'm not exactly losing any sleep over this.

Do I want K20D - Yes! Do I need one? Well - priority wise, if I had the lenses I need/want on hand, I would buy it in the heart beat, but for now, between K100D that I use for macro and lensbaby photos and K10D for everything else - I'm going to invest money into the glass first.

And just to make myself feel better, and to convince myself that K10D still satisfies my need for now, I took a photo of my lunch today:

My wife and I (we each have a k10d) have absolutely NO remorse. In truth, I could have a k20d if I wanted one but I don't. The k10d does everything I want and need at present. I'm not one to sit and read all the latest camera mags, drooling over the latest and greatest equipment. My desire is not for equipment but rather to be out in the field making images. When the k10d no longer does what I expect we'll see what my options are at that point.
