*istD 10th Anniversary Tribute. Post your photos.

If I'm not mistaken, 2013 marks the 10th anniversary of Pentax's entrance into the digital SLR world.
Let's show some love to this great little camera by posting images (old and new) shot with Pentax's "First" D.

Here's one I shot yesterday with my *istD and 21 Ltd.

Great idea! I'm curious to see how many of us are still using this relic . I love my *istD and hope it goes another 10 years, if that's even possible! I love the small & sturdy feel, and still use it quite often. This shot was taken a couple yrs ago with an M50 f/2:

Taken about a month ago, using the 18-55 kit lens:

I like my K-5, but I (still) love love love my *istD. I still use it as a backup/second body, although more and more seldomly, unfortunately.

Oh my, has it been 10 years already. I remember getting one of the first copies getting to my country (quite an effort for it, too), and shooting countless of great memories with it. Still use it, it's a great lil' body, and an excellent IQ....sometimes I wonder why I bothered to upgrade

My favourite *istD shot of all time
k300/4 with SMC-F1.7x AF converter, and AF500FTZ flash

How I wish they retained TTL flash on later cameras

This tree was on my property when I bought it 9 years ago. the yard was overgrown, the grass about waist deep. The previous owner had decorated it with lights for the holidays and then forgotten it. I whipped the place into shape, getting the brush cut back and the lawn back to something resembling a lawn and not a neglected pasture.

For my first Christmas I ran a cord out from the shop to this tree, plugged it in and to my surprise the lights worked! So I grabbed my *isDL with the 18~55 kit lens, stuck it on a tripod and popped off a few shots.

This one seemed the best, and I massaged it a bit in Photoshop.

This sculpture was in the town of Index on SR2, in an old church, along the way to Stevens Pass, where I have been snow skiing since the mid 1970's. On a trip up to the ski area I finally stopped to take a few shots with my *istDL. Good thing, because a short time after I took these pictures the art gallery burned down.

This was one of the first shots I took with my *istD, shorty after acquiring it in 2010.
It was also the third photo of mine to be accepted into the PPG.
I think the lens was my Panagor 55/2.8 Macro.
