Got a K100D Super

I I just bought a K100D Super but I have the feeling it's an open box sold as new... I want to now if Pentax does it like this or if it's the store.

Here are my "clues"
There was no plastic covering the screen. Does Pentax put one on the K100D Super?
Batteries where in the camera.
French manual was out of the plastic bag.

Seems to me this is an open box but he camera was perfectly clean, and picture count was 0. I need to make sure before going back.

Thank you

I like the camera by the way, except the AWB is way off when I'm in a room.

sounds fishy to me. i got my k100d from blacks in canada and everything was fine... the batteries should be sealed together and the manual should be in the plastic bag

Thanks, i'm gonna try to get some money back then. Or get refunded if I can't.

It's definetly an open box, batteries should be sealed together, and I am pretty sure there should be a sticky plastic on the screen.

Other option is to get an appropriate "refund" for a used camera...

I would like to know the name of the seller - and of course, how this plays out.

OK, I bought it at Futureshop, in Canada. I choose pickup in store so they probably put their last unit, the demo, in a box since it's in great shape. (They called this "Confusion" )
I went back and I got ~30$ off. Not much but the camera was alrerady in sale (-50$) when I bought it and they usually remove 5% of the normal price when they have an open box.
So price is 569-50-~30 = 488 which is less than anywhere else I would buy from.

Good deal Finger! $488 for a K100 super is a pretty decent price. It's a good thing you went back, as they say "the squeeky wheel gets the grease".

I had my doubts it was Futile-Shop!
