SD capacity K20

Hi, hopefully this is not too dumb a question, the K20 manual has the capacity up to a 4gig card I assume it will take a 8g card, have I assumed correctly?

I haven't tested an 8 gig card since I don't have one. It is more than likely the largest card they tested so that is the largest card they will tell you about. It will probably work just fine.

See, while typing, Jon confirmed that it will take larger cards. I need to get some.

SD Capacity

I few months ago, when 8GB cards were becoming common, I sent an email to Pentax support asking if my K10D would support the larger cards. I specifically asked about 8GB cards and the inevitable 16GB and 32GB cards.

Their response was that 4GB was the largest available when the manual was written, but that, as far as they knew, the K10D would handle much larger cards, when they became available.

I tried the 16GB card on the k10, worked too. it's using sdhc spec, so as long as it has that logo, it should be fine (thinking about this 32gb san disk extreme iv....)

Just as an aside, I use a Transcend 150x SD in my K100D and it works fine except the counter
