A little more info might help. Do you have a budget for this upgrade? What do you like to shoot? And what kind of lenses do you have?

If you have no budget, the go top of the line with the k5ii/s - just depends on what you like to shoot. If you have a budget, then you should also consider future lens purchases, especially ones that could be made with the camera. You might not need the k5iis if you aren't shooting with fa/da ltd lenses. Lenses are just as important as camera, maybe even more so, so you don't want to sacrifice lens upgrades for the top of the line camera.

+1 on the k-30 for that application. Get it with the 18-135WR, perfect for motor bike sports. Sell the Tamron and 18-55, keep the Sigma. Just my humble opinion.

+1 on that.
Once I got my 18-135WR I have never used my Tamron 18-200mm.
I think you gonna like the K-30 and I keep seeing the prices drop more and more recently for a new one.

Certainly you could use the 18-135wr on your km, but there are some nice upgrades that the k30. Would give you. The pair is wr, which is perfect for motor bikes. Plus, the k30 is a substantial upgrade to your sensor and auto focus.

Pentax Cameras | Pentax K-5 vs. Pentax K-30 vs. Pentax K-m - Pentax DSLR Comparison - PentaxForums.com

The K-5 has more dedicated controls, a faster shutter, and mic input. The K-30 has better AF and video mode (but no external mic input).

The k5 also has the ability for a grip and the k30 doesn't. The k5II and IIs have a better AF system than the k5, but they do not have focus peaking like the k30. the K30 also features a faster processor, but that is really only noticed with the playback of pictures and video.

I am keeping my k5 and adding a k5IIs to my system. I would have seriously considered the k30, but I need the grip option. It just suits me better. If you are used to shooting without one and are not interested in trying a grip, then the K30 would suit you fine. If you want a grip option, then go with the k5, they are at a good price.
