There is one option missing... "They don't make film any more for the cameras I still have... "

*sigh*

I suppose that there should have been a poll to determine the poll choices.

Hmmmmmmmm, since I have 2 K10D's, I should get to vote twice.

I did vote there should be a sub forum for the K10, they are a nice camera.
If I had the coins, I would buy a nice Grand Prix one, I think those are just gorgeous.

It seems like its pretty relative to your perspective. For a habitual early adopter that always buys the latest tech maybe a few years old is old. Personally, I rarely buy first generation electronics and you can get second or third generation electronics (in some areas not much more than a year old) for a significant savings. Obviously many electronics are old/obsolete much faster than other things since the technology is developed so fast.

I guess you could also look at it like its old when nobody wants it anymore or its value is a pittance compared to what it used to be. The d and ds sell for about 5-15% of their original retail (even at places like keh) so on cost you could say its old, but people still buy them (at some point newer models will be so cheap there is no reason to get the older model).

Lenses seem to certainly have a different timeline as old lenses (there are some pretty old AF ones) stay in demand much longer than bodies.

Um, "nobble"?
It's a word, and completely appropriate. Google it.
