Which to sell? K-5 or K-30?

I have a K-5 and a K-30, both of which I love and use almost interchangeably, though of course, each has its own virtues and limits. I'm thinking of selling one of these to lay aside some cash for the next upgrade from Pentax. I am not interested in the evolved versions of the existing lines, though I like seeing Pentax keeping those lines current.

So…which of these do you think I should sell? The K30 seems to have a few more advanced features--the AF seems snappier to me, for example. But the K5 has the 14 bit raw, mic input, back IR sensor, etc. But the K5 is older and might not draw as much cash as the K30…

So I'd like to hear some perspectives on which would be the better one to sell!

The answer is obvious: Instead of selling a K-5 or K-30 you should just buy a K-01 and Q

The K5 is selling for more used than the K30 is new. Personally I would keep the K5 because of the 14 bit raw and expanded ISO, plus the increased dynamic range.

Keep the 30, sell the 5. The new camera should be at the top of the line - as Pentax just revamped the bottom - and so is more a natural replacement for the 5

I was in a similar position when I had the K-x & K-r. I sold the newer camera because it would bring more towards my K-5 purchase. I'd sell the K-5 if you plan on buying the next Pentax top of the line camera. Good luck.

I use 85% K-30 and 5% K-5 , with K-01, MX-1 and the Q filling the rest.
sell K-5, that's what I should do!

You'll get most cash if you sell the K-5 so if you want as much cash as possible then sell the K-5.

As others have said, you will get more money for the K-5.
In my opinion, it depends on what you want to do in the future. Are you willing to stay with whichever camera you keep for a few years? If so, I would keep the K-5. It may not have some of the new features like focus peaking, but it is a little bit more refined in my opinion. I also think the K-5 has slightly better noise control, which to me is important because I like to shoot a lot in lower light.

But if you are looking to upgrade to the K-3 (or whatever it is called) in the next 6 months to a year, then I say sell the K-5 because you can get more money for it now.
