It doens't look like a good deal to me, thought the lens is a decent lens. It is a plastic mount, so remember that. I would advise going through the price watch section.

Hmm.. let's do the math:

The B&H bundle deal that you listed here: $716 with free shipping, and it includes a $50 gift card to B&H

Compared with:
K-30 body only (in red) can be had for $470 with free shipping (although from the notorious "Electronics Basket" vendor, it is "fulfilled by Amazon")
http://www.amazon.com/Pentax-K-30-Digital-Camera-Body/dp/B00B8ZKN2Q/ref=sr_1...words=k-30+red

DA 50 f/1.8 is: $246 with free shipping (from Adorama; B&H charges shipping but offers this same price)
http://www.adorama.com/PX5018.html

= $716

So, you'd come out ahead in the B&H deal because of the $50 gift card to B&H that you can use in the future on other equipment!

However, if you already own a 50mm 1.4 (is it the F or FA version with autofocus? or manual?), then you may not need or want a plastic mount, slower aperture DA 50 f/1.8. In which case, you may want to buy the body only somewhere and then get a different lens.

If you have the fa 50mm 1.4, I would just get the body only. Or better yet see if you can find it bundled with the 18-135mm at a price you can afford (if you don't have that lens already). You'll have a WR walkaround with the 18-135 lens and a great low light/ fast action/portrat lens with the 50mm.

+1. The 18-135 is a super convenient workhorse, and you have a fast 50.
