The new WR lenses with the K-50 are DA L. This has been known since the announcement in June.

SMC Pentax-DA L 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 AL WR Reviews - DA L Zoom Lenses - Pentax Lens Reviews & Lens Database

SMC Pentax-DA L 50-200mm F4-5.6 ED WR Reviews - DA L Zoom Lenses - Pentax Lens Reviews & Lens Database

Could you post a picture of the front of the lens? All references I have seen have the filter ring still being 52mm.

Very interesting! If it is a new design, pentax should have announced it.
Not sure what you meant "And 50m-200mm WR lens's glass is same DA 35mm 2.4 lens." Did you mean the front glass is same size as 35/2.4?

Im pretty sure the (old) DA L versions always had 52mm and the (old) WR versions always had 49mm filter ring. Very interesting if this new "DA L WR" is 49mm. Thanks for sharing, I hope more people look into this and fix any mistakes on websites.

It makese sense that the new ones are 49mm, because they are more similar to the WR version than to the DA L versions.

They probably reduced the size of the filter ring in the WR to make it easier to seal...

The old non-WR DA and DA L are 52mm but as Na Horuk says the DA WR is 49mm.

I was aware of that. When I had a lot of 52mm lens-threads I sought out a DA no-WR copy, but now I have mostly 49mm primes so I have the DA WR. It's odd that the two WR kit lenses do not match that way, quite frustrating for someone just getting started.

The 50-200 is my ideal hiking lens: compact light and WR. I seldom use tele for multi-day hikes but this is easier to carry than the 55-300 and of course WR.

Typo fixed. Like the da 50-200mm wr, the da L WR version also has a 49 mm filter thread.
