Nice ones, Kyle - do you still shoot with the K100, are were those older photos?

Just picked up a Tamron LD 28-200 IF last week. It and my K100d are becoming fast friends!! Already got a good workout at three different events!!

Sports Photo with K100DS

Who needs a machine-gunning, high-speed, auto-focus monster to capture sports photos? Huh? My lowly K100DS keeps up just fine. I've been enjoying taking soccer ("football" for the rest of you folk) photographs of my granddaughter's games this Spring season. That's her trying to keep control of the ball.

Sunset Under the Clouds

The sun was setting and a cloud deck came over our heads making for interesting contrast and colors in the sunset.

Am using the k100d for Singles In this month, so thought I'd contribute a few shots. 6 megapixels still does the job....

About a year ago I upgraded the K100-d to the K-30.
One thing I did notice righ t away was that I preferred the apparent build quality of the K-100d, as the buttons and labels etc on the new K-30 seemed cheaper.
I'm ok now, but I do remember that feeling vividly...

Anyhow, thought I'd add in a few photos from my gallery that were from the K100-d...

Great thread with loads of evidence of how great the K100D still is. I don't own mine any longer, but got so many great shots with it. When I missed it, and wanted to get back to the magic of the 6 MP CCD sensor, I went a generation further back and picked up an *ist DS2, which I still have and absolutely love. Anyway, here's a couple of my own favorites I had taken with my old K100D....

Very nice - love the tones in the first photo (the dinghy).

I own a K100D and a K-5 II. Despite attempts to tweak camera profiles, I haven't yet managed to coax colours out of my K-5 II that are as nice as those from the K100D.

I think I'll weep if I ever manage to get colours out of the K-5 II like those in your boat shot.

I sifted through some of my early action shots I took with my K100D and my 80-300FA Zoom Lens from my MZ Film Camera . I still own it and continue to use it
