I believe this was taken with the tak 50/1.4 mounted on a hollowed out 2x tele OR a 55mm vivitar macro 1:1.

I miss the K100d, which leaves my K10d as the only remaining CCD SLR. Like Jussi, I also like the accurate reds.

I've given mine away, but there seems to be a black cloud over them. Shortly after the last big trip where I used it, I was almost killed in a bike accident. I then gave one to a budding young photographer's assistant who wanted a DSLR to learn the craft. She was fired within a month of getting my K100d and Series 1 kit lens. Another went to two friends who were taking their first trip together to France after 18 years together so that they could bring back some quality photos of this second honeymoon. The photos were mostly bad, and they were divorced within 6 months. I have no K100d. Maybe it is good riddance.

Yikes !!! I'm in France still with a K110D that my wife gave me for X-mas long ago ... maybe the 110's are not cursed

Perhaps adding the SDM support in the K110d put all the curse in the lens.

I always thought my suck photos were my own fault. Now I know It's a curse on the K100d

Thanks guys - my wife will appreciate it

I have many more of her shots I'm processing & will post soon. She was only there for a couple days but managed to get quite a few captures.

I'm also a big fan of the K100D/K110D. I have the K110D and I love it. I don't see why I need to upgrade. The 6.1 mega pixels is the only negative thing about it, but I can live with that fine.

So K100D fans, I just read the thread here on the "green button"* and concluded that on our cameras that that is the AE LOCK button on back, and that if you are in manual mode that pressing it gives you a snapshot of what exposure the camera would pick if you were in program mode, right?

Assuming that, it is handy to borrow use of the light meter when on a manual lens. You can pick an aperture and press AE LOCK and see what the camera would pick for a shutter speed. Handy! I like it.
(I'm very new to this forum and somewhat unfamiliar with all of the K100Ds tricks, so correct me if I'm mistaken)

*-that thread was so confusing because I was all like "what? There's no green button here?!"
