is there a cheap battery eliminator for the kx or DIY??

After last night's astro session, there's one thing I need to do.... get this camera off of batteries! Since there's no jack for external power, is there a cheap eliminator that would replace the batteries or something DIY? Thanks.

The K-x has no jack for external power, but it has an AC Adapter kit (K-AC84) that has two parts. One part is a DC coupler that goes inside the battery compartment (replacing the batteries), and the other part is the actual AC power supply. They are connected via a cable.

The K-x PDF manual has a complete description how to use it:

Go to the sub-Forum on Pentax Articles and scroll through the Do It Yourself section. There are at least a couple options. I paid very little to make one for the K-r.

Basically you need some AAA to AA adapters, some wire, a soldering iron, and a regulated 6 volt wall wart.
