AF360 P-TTL Zoom Question

I just purchased this flash for my K10D. When I use it in P-TTL mode, the flash zoom doesn't seem to operate correctly. With a FA50 the flash zoom shows 48, with the DA18-55 the flash zoom shows from 16 to 58 and with the DA50-200 the flash zoom shows from 48 to only 58. If I set the flash to manual it zooms correctly from 24 thru all the steps to 85.

I called Pentax tech support - they said their version did the same, but had no further suggestions.

Does anyone else with this flash notice this behavior? Am I missing something?

that is in 35mm eq... remember the flash is from pre-digital era.

PS: read page 180 from K10D manual

Thanks - that is definitely the answer.

I scoured the flash manual, but didn't go back to the K10D manual looking for for clues.

Odd that the Pentax tech reps didn't pick up on this.

always check when it was printed... the last update to it was in Dec 2003 (I am
talking about .PDF from their website)
