Shutter sound comparison: K-500, K-50, K-5IIs, D600 (normal and quiet)

Recorded while I was at B&H. I've done a comparison between the k-x, k-30, and k-5 before:
but I was curious whether the k-5/k-5IIs was quieter than the D600 in quiet mode or not. I am glad to say - yes, the k-5IIs is quieter!

Not to mention I couldn't figure out how to do burst mode in the D600 quiet mode. I don't think it's possible, but I may be wrong. I think the D610 provides burst in quiet mode, but they didn't have a model on display to play with.

What was also interesting was that I found the k-50 to be quieter than the k-500. Not sure if that was because of the lens (the k-50 had the 50-200, while the k-500 had the 18-55), but I thought the sound difference was somewhat significant in person. The video doesn't seem to fully capture the difference - but you can still hear it. I think the k-30 matches the k-50 in sound.

I'll stop by next week to do the same with the k-3, and maybe with any other brand DSLRs that you guys know are quiet.

Due to the weather sealing I suppose...

Oh yes, I forgot that the k-50 is weathersealed vs the k-500 not being weathersealed. Thanks!

Right, Qc is new to the D610.

Quiet mode... that is so lame. I'm so happy with the K5II sound. Its the quietest I've heard and a big relief after having the K20 give me away in public!

Quality control? Yes, that's what I heard, too.

Have to agree with that. if you can have a quiet shutter (and it has burst mode) why the hell would you have it on loud?
