Digitalcamerareview.com mentioned Pentax in their buyer's guide.

The K-5II(s), K-50, and K-3 all got mentioned on digitalcamerareview.com in their holiday buying guide! I thought it was nice to see Pentax mentioned right up there with the "big boys".

Maybe we'll see the installed base of Pentax users grow in 2014!

Then again, they will have some stiff competition from something like the Sony A3000 with the price dropping so quickly.

Great Find!

Wow, nice find, Boris.
Amazing to see a major site giving such raves to Pentax, especially in the popular Holiday Buying Guide.
In the 'Mid to High End' selections, the K-3 is # 3, behind the Canon 5D Mark II (#1) FF, @ $3400, the Nikon D800 (#2) FF, $2800 and ahead of the Canon Rebel 70D (#4) APS-C, $1100 and Nikon D7100 (# 5) APS-C, $1200. All rated 9/10. In other words, the best cropped format DSLR buy.
But the 'Budget DSLR's' group was even more suprising, the K-5 II and IIs is #1! Ahead (in order) of the Nikon D5200, Canon Rebel T5i, Pentax K-50 and Canon Rebel SL1
We're rolling now!

Makes sense for the k-5II/k-5IIs, in a few months the k-5II will likely be in the $600 range, and the k-5IIs will be in the $700 range - similarly the D5200 is around $600 now and the D5300 is $800 now. With the Nikon taking action AF and movie, and Pentax taking low-light AF, high ISO, and durability/size/FPS/etc - Pentax should really come out on top in the budget game.

It's nice that they put the k-3 as #3 - I feel like it sorta makes sense. It is the best APS-C that Pentax has produced, it easily competes with the top APS-C cameras, and it makes Nikonites wonder where their D300s replacement is.

At this point, it does seem that Nikon will not issue that replacement, and is forcing users to go full-frame.
