Ah, Dave, you really have an eye for a great photograph. That one is brilliant. Everything fits together - good use of negative space, the clouds go right to the top border, the pony is at the right spot facing into the image, etc., etc. Nice work. And mono suits it, too.

Local squirrel in tree

Took this with an old Pentax 100-300mm f8/iso 100. Only adjustment is white balance. Almost never need to adjust/enhance color with the K10D.Name: IMGP0717.jpg

Last night I decided to try star trails.....I chose the wrong star as the North Star, so it's like a weird meteor shower

Also, I did one 30 sec exposure every 1 min, so unfortunately the stars are not solid trails but dotted trails.....I think it's pretty decent for a first time, what do you guys think?

Taken with the Rokinon 8mm f3.5

Big rock on the slope of Barn Hill with the SMC Takumar 28mm/3.5. I've walked past this rock hundreds of times and couldn't figure out a way to photograph it, but I think this obliging pony has helped a little bit.

Only problem is that it means yet another pony photo. Yeesh. I'm sure I must have taken a photo without a pony in it at least once over the years. . .

Good one, Dave. I don't mind your pony photos one bit. Keep 'em coming. To me, it looks like the pony is thinking "Now, how am I going to get past that?".

Thanks. It's an awesome little lens, cheap and super sharp.

I do believe you had more to do with the output then the lens did. But yeah I got to get one.
