Raw files make it way to easy for us now.
I hardly shoot out of auto WB, I to found the K10 to be pretty darn good. Oh, in the shade on bright days it used to be confused, but raw files to the rescue.
Despite tromboads' advice, I decided to try my DGK (Digital Grey Kards) for the first time. I did not use the manual method in the K10D manual as I found that the rear LCD is too small to properly judge the white on the white card.
I took an image on my back patio in shade on a cloudy day and then went into ACR and the Temp and Tint settings were 5400 and -1 respectively. I then took the White Balance Tool and clicked on the white card and the settings changed to 5150 and +4 respectively. There was a marked improvement in the image. I then set the black and white points to -4 and +73 respectively and the image looked even better.
It was a worthwhile exercise and I might use those cards again. There are plenty available on eBay:

and the prices are much cheaper than I paid for mine. Give them a try. You might be pleasantly surprised. I was.
