Crocosmia

Crocosmia come in various shades of red and orange, but the red seems to be the most common color. Originally from Africa, and pretty easy to grow.

Hi. I'm looking to K10D and Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 (without stab.) samples. Someone have samples, or can do ? Because this Sigma on K-3 is good, but CMOS matrix is different from CCD.

I haven't been particularly inspired to take pictures lately, but at least I'm going out there... even if most of the time I come back empty and can't find a picture I can post.

So, not that these are great... but they're still better than the other 99% I've taken the last couple weeks Everything done with my favorite lens, the Rikenon P 50 1.4.

Early morning sunrays...

...a butterfly in soft evening light was a nice surprise when I found it...

When I found that butterfly, I thought the best I was going to get was just some grass blades... which did come out alright by the way!

...and did I mention the K10D can do greens very well? I think I might have

Turtles fighting for sunbathing space at the lake back in March - F80-200. Couldn't get a clear shot thru those trees....

Wow! That's a lot of turtles. I don't think the trees detract from the shot.

The out of focus colours provide the perfect back drop in the butterfly shot.

Well, my intuition into my daughter wanting a camera like mine was right. She doesn't want one like mine, she wants one that will do all the settings for her....in other words, a point and shoot with a longer zoom lens....So, I'll probably sell the extra K10D I bought.

K10D Exposure mode issue

Went back to play with the K10D after the last couple of months with the new FF K1. I noticed on the the K10D an issue with the exposure mode which I hadn't been aware of before as I almost always used it in Tv or Av mode. I now see that when set to TAv mode, it operates as if in M. In M it operates as if in B mode. In B mode it operates as it should, in B mode. I have checked that I have the latest Firmware version loaded Ver 1.31 and have a DA18-135 lens coupled to the camera, so doubt this could be an issue.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a fix on this?

Thanks,

Davo

Sounds like a problem with the actual dial? It thinks it's in one position but it's in a a different one... if you are comfortable with opening the camera and cleaning it, that might help...

K10D Pano

I have just received a Flickr Explore for this image. Taken with my K10D and SMC Pentax-DA 35mm F2.4 AL. It is an 8 image (2 rows of 4 images) pano and each image was a 5 second exposure using a Hoya PRO ND 1000 filter because a normal exposure creates problems trying to stitch waves that have moved between exposures.
