Playing around with the M42 Takumar 300 f4 today.
Not perfect shots but love the look this lens produces

Thank you; it was just natural light, a little underexposed.

Yes I am not one to use flash myself.
Natural light is part of the art in my opinion

Thank you. That one was shot at Heckwood Tor, which is a small tor (rocky outcrop) quite near me on Dartmoor. Truth is, most of my Dartmoor photos are shot on short walks of under an hour that I try to fit in whenever I can, which is why the same landmarks tend to appear in the background.

Edit:
Nun's Cross Farm in rain and fog this afternoon with the 18-55mm WR.

I think you captured the feeling of a time and place from a day gone by Very well Dave

That's pretty sharp, Dave. How did you mount the lens on the camera?

Thanks Ray. It's the same rig that I first played around with way back on Page 87 of the K10D club in 2015: The K10D Club! - Page 87 - PentaxForums.com. Basically a 70 year old Kodak lens with a K Mount superglued to it. The sharpness and resolution are mindblowing, but it's the colour rendering that makes it the best 50mm I've ever used. The glass is absolutely clear and it adds no colour cast of its own at all. Here's another sample that you can see at full resolution if you click through to Flickr:

Ah, yes, I do remember now and I commented at the time. Thanks for jogging my failing memory from 2 years back.

I can see why you like that lens. I looked at it on Flickr and the amount of detail visible is amazing. The colours do look real and the whole image has a distinct 3D feel to it. Even the stones in the dry stone wall are visible. That lens was certainly worth salvaging. More power to you, brother!

A bit of OOF rendering from the F80-200 on a K10D. I never did find that "scenic point" on these horse trails...
