Nice one, Dave. IIRC, you can change your Flickr settings to "private". That way only you, and those you choose can view your Flickr feed. I believe you can still link your photos to PF as well.

I’ll second what Paul said.

Setting the albums to private avoids the ‘social’ aspect, yet you can still hotlink your photos here. I do it all the time.
Thanks, Paul. Thanks, Racer. That is very useful and valuable information. I have been using Flickr for years and I did not know that I could do as you have indicated. Much appreciated.

Here is an image that I posted in the Takumar thread that was taken with the K10D and an SMC Tak 200/f4. This is a JPG with only minimal processing and it shows what we love about the CCD sensor and how it handles red.
Taken at f4 so very shallow DOF.

I like the hint of mystery in that first shot.

The stories must be wrong. My ex actually lives near a bridge in Bristol.

I wasn't sure whether to believe Paul's story. But I believe yours, Dave!

I gave the F100-300mm a run out in the golden hour yesterday. It really is a very nice lens, although it's probably more suited to f/8 rather than the f/5.6 that I used for these in the lowering light. I should really go long more often, because you can see behaviour from the inflatables at a distance that they just won't show from close by.

Nice captures under gorgeous light Dave. I agree, I think stopping down a bit will bring out a little more detail although you did quite well with these.
